Proposed new housing development with infrastructure at the heart of North Fambridge
Barratt David Wilson (BDW) is consulting residents on plans to deliver new homes and infrastructure in North Fambridge. This website provides information about the emerging plans and allows you to provide feedback directly to the team.
Everyone knows that building new homes requires a boost in infrastructure to enable the sustainable growth of local communities. That’s why Barratt David Wilson (BDW) is proposing to deliver new community facilities and up to 250 new homes as part of a new phase of development in North Fambridge.
The scheme will provide land that can be used to build a small medical facility or a day nursery. BDW provided land for a new GP surgery along with 94 homes by Steeple Road, Southminster in 2022.
In addition, the proposal will include space to provide a retail unit, such as a small convenience shop, minimising a need to travel beyond North Fambridge for basic amenities.
DID YOU KNOW?
BDW completed the adjacent Riverside Grange development, comprising 87 homes, over two years ago and it was one of BDW’s most sought after and best-selling developments in Essex.
This second phase will seek to deliver up to 250 new homes and associated infrastructure to meet district-wide and local housing needs, including 40% affordable housing.
BDW paid £436,000 in developer contributions including education and health provision for the 87 homes completed in 2022. The new scheme of up to 250 homes will make a sizeable financial contribution to local services in the area.
